The Future Homes Standard

Interim building regulation changes, to both Part F and Part L, have been in place since June 2022. As a result, new build homes must now produce 31 percent less carbon dioxide emissions than previously set standards, while commercial buildings must produce a 27 percent reduction. 

Alongside these interim changes, a new Approved document O has been added, which aims to tackle overheating within homes. More information about these changes is available in the Approved Documents.¹
