Can I complete a planning application offline?
We would always recommend that you apply online1. But all the application forms are also available to download as PDF documents which you can print out, complete and submit by post.
There are also additional downloadable forms for application types that are not currently supported in the online system.
You can access all these in our ‘Paper Forms’ section2.
We recommend that the free Adobe Reader software3 or Adobe Acrobat is used to view, complete and print our PDF forms. Many internet browsers and other software can be used to view PDF format files, but we cannot guarantee their compatibility or functionality.
Please note:
- Our downloadable PDF forms are designed to be printed out and completed by hand.
- Paper forms need to delivered/posted to the relevant Local Planning Authority along with the required supporting documents. You should not attach these application forms as supporting documents in the online application system.
- While you can still print a draft version of a planning application form from our online service, it is not valid for submission, please see our FAQ: ‘Will I still be able to print/export 1App applications?4’
