How do I log in to the Building Control Portal?

The merging of planning and building control applications onto one platform means you will have one account to submit online applications. If you already have a Planning Portal account, you will be able to use those credentials to log in and access the Building Control Portal as well as any planning applications you may have on the Planning Portal

If you have submitted building control applications in the past, but don’t have a Planning Portal account, your log in details for the old building control service will not work on the new portal and you will need to create an account by choosing ‘Register for an account’ on the log in screen¹.

Draft applications will not be moved over to the new system. 
You will need to create the application again on the new portal.

Viewing old applications

You will still be able to view your applications on the old service for a limited time by logging in. to the old service. https://buildingcontrol.planningportal.co.uk/² (we recommend you bookmark this link if you wish to repeat access). These applications will be view-only and cannot be edited or submitted.

Accessing the Building Control Portal for Wales

Visit https://building-control-wales.planningportal.co.uk/apps/building-control/applications³ and log in using your Planning Applications Wales username and password, or register for an account if you don't have one.
